1. Scope and provider
These terms apply to use of the netReg portal and its related registration, licensing, logging, download and update services provided by Net-Base Software GmbH. Additional individual agreements and product-specific licence terms take precedence over these terms.
2. User account and credentials
A user account is required for protected areas. Registration details must be accurate and kept up to date. Credentials must not be shared with unauthorised third parties. Users must report suspected misuse or loss of credentials without undue delay.
3. Sign-in through external providers
Where available, users may sign in with Google or Microsoft. The terms of the respective provider also apply. netReg receives only the identity information required for sign-in and account assignment. Availability of these sign-in methods may depend on the external providers.
4. Service scope
netReg provides functions for managing applications, installations, licences, technical status messages, releases and updates. The available functions depend on the relevant product, account, agreement and enabled release channel.
5. Permitted use
The services may only be used lawfully and for their intended purposes. Prohibited activities include unauthorised access, circumvention of security or licensing controls, automated overload attempts, malware, manipulation of logging or registration data, and use of another person's identity or installation identifier.
6. Content and files
Users may submit only content and files they are entitled to use. They remain responsible for submitted content. Files may be inspected, rejected, blocked or removed for security reasons, in particular where malware, unlawful content or infringement of third-party rights is suspected.
7. Technical data and privacy
Technical data required for registration, licence validation, troubleshooting and update delivery may be processed, including application and version identifiers, installation IDs, operating system details, timestamps and technical status information. Details concerning personal data are provided in the privacy policy.
8. Availability and changes
We aim to operate the services securely and reliably, but uninterrupted availability at all times cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, security measures, incident resolution or technical development may temporarily restrict functions. Material changes will be announced in advance where appropriate.
9. Licences, releases and updates
Rights to use supplied software are governed by the applicable licence or contract terms. Assignment to release channels such as stable, beta or internal does not create an entitlement to particular versions or release dates. Preview versions may be incomplete and contain defects.
10. Suspension and termination
Access may be temporarily suspended in the event of security risks, material or repeated breaches of these terms, or legal obligations. Unless another agreement prevents this, an account may be closed on request. Statutory retention duties and necessary security or audit records remain unaffected.
11. Liability
Statutory liability rules apply. Mandatory statutory claims, including those relating to intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body or health, and product liability, remain unaffected.
12. Final provisions
German law applies unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise. If an individual provision is or becomes ineffective, the remaining provisions remain unaffected. Questions concerning these terms may be submitted through the channels named in the legal notice and contact section.
